Rate Limits ⏱️

All AXS API requests are subject to rate limiting to ensure fair usage and platform stability.

Rate limits are currently enforced per client IP address. If your integration shares an IP across multiple services (e.g., behind a load balancer or NAT gateway), all traffic from that IP counts toward the same limit.

Best Practices 💡​

  • Cache responses where possible to reduce redundant calls.
  • Prefer webhooks over polling for event-driven use cases — see the Webhooks guide.
  • Monitor your request volume to stay within the default limits, and contact support-axs@straumann.com if your integration requires higher limits.
